Yoga Philosophy

What is yoga? Is it only physical exercise or more than that? How does it bring various changes in our consciousness?

These kind of questions are important and they make someone inspired to learn yoga in the first place. It’s very necessary to understand the theory and philosophy behind the things. Practicing yoga with understanding the philosophy of yoga makes it complete like body and soul united.

  • How these definitions are applicable in life
  • Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali
  • What are the different styles of Yoga?
  • The theory behind various practices.

Pranayama Syllabus

The practice of Pranayama is very necessary for calming down the mind. Pranayama practices also become the basis of various meditation techniques.

Here the pranayama will be taught with great care so students learn the process and get better at their practices. All the following techniques will be taught initially in a beginner manner without ‘Kumbhaka’ (retention of breath) and slowly they will be encouraged to do it with ‘Kumbhaka’ on advanced levels.

Mantra is the special sounds that stimulate different layers of consciousness and help the subjects connect to his inner self. Students can make the booking in any course date by making a confirmation fee of 105 USD (including 5 USD Paypal charges). This confirmation fee is nonrefundable but may be adjusted to any other upcoming course at Sri Yoga Peeth. For any reason, if you can’t attend the course then also your confirmation fee will be deemed as an advance deposit which can be utilized at a later date. The confirmation fee is also part of the total fee. The remaining amount will be payable on the first day of the course at the Sri Yoga Peeth center. The course fee can be paid in cash or credit card. No refunds shall be made after the beginning of the course.
