Sri yoga peeth yoga ashram situated in the valley of Himalayas is welcoming everyone to attend a 100 hour, 200-hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training in Rishikesh India. Ashtanga yoga is a fixed sequence of some Asanas made by the great yogi K. Pratibha Joshi during the 20th century. The Ashtanga yoga primary sequence comes from the ancient Sanskrit text Yoga Korunta. This sequence is coupled with the synchronized breathing techniques promoting a flow, which is called as the Vinyasa style of Asanas.
Together the name is called Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Students are taught Ashtanga primary series so that they can develop a solid foundation of Asana with proper alignment in a flow, which is required for the higher techniques of yoga including Bandhas, Drishti, Breath, and Meditation.
